![]() ![]() It took me a while to warm up to Lily because her personality seemed cold right from the start. ![]() ![]() She is stubborn, willful, and has a mind of her own. Because she grew up in such a "wild" place she was not like other ladies in England. We soon find out that Lily grew up in Jamaica with her father and mother. Before they can marry, often the lawyer will oversee the estate. They have to be married so that their spouse can inherit their families estate. During the 19th century, women were unable to inherit a house by themselves. Lily soon finds out that she cannot quite inherit the house. When the two meet - let's just say it was quite a hilarious part of the book. While touring her new home she encounters Lord Alan Ravenscar. Lily Wallace is a young woman who has just inherited Holywell House. Yep- blog tours can be scheduled that far in advance! And I always love reading romance stories, so of course, I signed up! I was reached out by Rachel from Rachel's Random Resources to review this book back in November. ![]()
